Business Development Director - Alternative Assets

I am delighted to be working on an exclusive, retained basis with a leading, independently owned, corporate and trustee services management company, assisting them in their search for a business development director. This is a newly created role and will lead the approach to client development and client acquisition for the group, working closely with the most senior stakeholders in the business. The role requires a senior business development professional who has a consultative style to their client work and who is used to selling solutions. As a result of being independently owned, the culture of the organisation is very much about the long-term approach to client relationships and the business development director will share that approach.

The ideal candidate will be an entrepreneurial individual, familiar with the alternative asset world and ideally with a reasonable understanding of the real estate sector. The business is very well placed in a lot of its markets, so the emphasis will be more about seeing the bigger picture and making the most of current relationships to cross-sell rather than going out and developing new business from scratch. Naturally you'll be someone with a track record of credibility and success of engaging in C-suite decision makers and the kind of individual good at bringing people together.
