  • Overseeing daily running order of all social media channels and planning for key events, tournament, club and player milestones
  • Working closely with tournament content agency to ensure effective and responsive delivery of website content on a weekly basis
  • Liaising with communications teams of all teams across the tournament on a daily basis
  • Track and catalogue media coverage for reporting and analysis
  • Work with Marketing Manager and Digital Manager across a number of content related projects
  • Work to own initiative and provide new ideas across communications, content & social media
  • Assist in the collation of data for key metrics and data for internal and external purposes
  • Management of the tournament accreditation system
  • Contribute to and manage production of media guide and manage digital media resources throughout the season
  • Handle day-to-day media enquiries alongside Head of Communications & Broadcast
  • Manage media conference calls between different teams when called upont
  • Work with Head of Communications and Elite Referee Manager on match official communications strategy and activation


  • 2-3 years experience in either Public Relations, Sports Media, Marketing or for a tournament or national governing body
  • Hold a relevant degree in Journalism, Marketing or Public Relations
  • Experience dealing with large and diverse stakeholder groups
  • Experience working across live events and media press conferences
  • Experience working within sports is a must, additional experience working with sponsors broadcasters is desirable
  • Understanding of the unique rugby environment and the five countries that are involved in the Guinness PRO14
  • Understanding of the evolving media landscape and experience in tailoring communications approaches to suit
  • Experience managing social media accounts and producing original ideas to engage digital audiences
  • Experience tracking media coverage and cataloguing for reports
  • Rigorous attention to detail
  • Possess excellent writing and sub-editing skills as writing press releases, social media copy and website articles. Must be capable of delivering to tight deadlines
  • Possess strong presentation and intrapersonal skills
  • Experience using backend website CMS and press release software
