We are presenting an outstanding opportunity to work with a leading Global Insurance Provider, based in the heart of London who are looking for a talented Head of Brand & Communications (Europe) to join their centralised Marketing & Corporate Comms team.

Reporting into the regional CEO, with a dotted line into the Director of Brand & Communications, you job will be to develop and execute a regional strategy for brand, comms and marketing that will build brand awareness and deliver a consistent, coordinated and differentiated brand experience across the region.


MAIN RESPONSIBILTIES

Strategic direction

  • Develop a regional marketing strategy in partnership with the global strategy and commercial objectives
  • Plan the local execution of the strategy across different regions, considering cultural and social nuances, insights, and data
  • Have a strong understanding of the role different types of media and marketing initiatives play in driving brand awareness, consideration, conversion, and retention, and how channels interact with each other
  • Collaborate with other parts of the business to deliver impact in a way that is measurableand leverages cross-functional knowledge
  • Own and oversee the regional marketing budget, providing direction to regional hubs and priority countries during the annual planning process and throughout the year
  • Support the Regional CEO and Country Managers in articulating and cascading key strategic priorities and direction to employees at all levels of the organisation (via regular internal communications, CEO updates, town halls and regional conferences)

Brand guardianship and comms

  • Develop regional marketing and comms strategy in partnership with the global strategy and commercial objectives
  • Embed the key messages and differentiators that make up the business' brand proposition throughout all client touchpoints
  • Develop maintain and effectively cascade document templates, toolkits and regional / global capability information
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to the business on best practices
  • Manage regional PR, social media and major events

REQUIREMENTS

  • The client would much prefer someone from outside of Insurance to bring a fresh perspective
  • Ideally a senior Marketing/ Brand Manager or Head of level of experience
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
  • Business-focused; able to manage resources, deadlines and budgets across all communications channels, whilst achieving the best result
  • Able to recognise and prioritise high-value tasks and key stakeholders
  • An excellent communicator (verbal and written)
  • Creative, with a good eye for design
  • A lateral thinker; able to find creative solutions
