We are looking for a Senior level Retail Operations Manager to be based in a growing business in Muscat Oman. the ideal candidate will have a mixes background in terms of the categories of operations they have looked after and international experience.

The main objectives of the Retail Operations Manager will be:


* To promote the Business Unit within the country, region and globally, delivering exceptional service, product and knowledge to our customers and ensuring sales, margin and profit are achieved in line with our overall business strategy.
* To oversee and manage the day to day retail operations effectively and efficiently, maximising sales and ensuring the security of stocks and cash in accordance with company policy.


Responsibilities


* Drive retail business turnover and profits
* Ensure maximum sales and profits are achieved through correct planning, forecasting and allocation of resources
* Lead, manage and develop the Retail Management team
* Consistently ensuring delivery of exceptional customer service and shop floor standards
* Maximise financial returns from retail operations
* Ensure that sales targets are met by the effective communication of relevant information to Duty Managers & Supervisors and taking corrective action in the event of sales slowdown
* Motivate the Retail Management team to achieve sales growth through customer satisfaction

The successful candidate will:


* Have a proven track record in the development and operation of retail operations (8+ years' experience)
* Have a third level qualification in a relevant business discipline
* Be sales and performance driven
* Have strong management and proven interpersonal ability
* Hold significant stakeholder management experience
* Possess the ability to identify and evaluate opportunities for and to implement change
* Possess the ability to adapt to varying cultures, work ethics and practices
* Be self-motivated and able to develop a result orientated environment
* Be inspirational and can develop motivated goals orientated team
* Strong Financial and Commercial acumen
* Experience in Buying/Supply Chain operations
